Best Western Australasia has signed The Haven Inn hotel in Sydney’s Inner West suburb of Glebe.
Located on 196 Glebe Point Road, the 59-room hotel sits 3km south-west of the Sydney CBD.
Best Western Australasia has welcomed the signing which will add to the group’s Sydney accommodation offering and provide guests with an ideal base close to Sydney harbour inlets and premier entertainment destination, The Star.
“Signing The Haven Inn shows Best Western’s flexibility as a leading hotel brand well suited for urban and regional markets. Glebe’s vibrant restaurants and universities already attract students and businesspeople to the area, and this refurbished hotel will cater for digitally savvy travellers wanting to stay on the fringe of the CBD yet remain close to the main attractions,” Rob Anderson, Best Western Australasia’s Chief Executive said.
Over $2million in refurbishments are planned including a new restaurant, a state-of-the-art gymnasium facing onto a Zen courtyard, new elevators and a designer makeover of the external façade.
Managed by Colliers International, the exterior design will be overseen by builders ICMG who will look to introduce a fresh, contemporary fit-out with new retail frontage on Glebe Point Road.
Upgraded accommodation will include fully refurbished guest rooms, free Wi-Fi and high quality guest services and facilities aligned to Best Western’s brand standards.
Now closed for refurbishments, the hotel redevelopment is set for completion in early 2015.
With over 4,000 hotels in 100 countries forming the Best Western International hotel family, Best Western has three distinct hotel types to suit all travelling needs. To find out more about joining Best Western, go to http://joinbestwestern.com.
