There are also loads of cool cafes, bars and restaurants, harbourside walks, bay cruises, excellent shopping, and heaps of activities for kids, big and small.

Things to do in Docklands

Docklands is fun to explore and there’s always something new happening. So it’s a great destination for a big day or night out – or both – rain or shine.

Docklands Outdoors
Exploring the Docklands precinct on foot is a favourite activity with locals and visitors, alike.

Docklands is rich in history, artwork and architecture. And flash boats. This makes for an eye-popping stroll along the waterfront and marina.

A popular spot for picnics and promenading, Docklands Park at Victoria Harbour is beautifully landscaped with native trees, cycling and walking paths, free BBQs, and cool public art. The interactive playground is a hit with the kids. While the grassy spaces are perfect for kicking back with a good book, watching the world go by, or having a post-walk snooze.

Eating and drinking at Docklands
No matter how small your budget or big the occasion, Docklands can satisfy your appetite. Be it a takeaway latte and gourmet sarnie sitting on the dock, beer-battered fish and chips with friends at a funky pub, or a romantic rendezvous at a top notch restaurant.

Many Docklands eateries and bars have awesome views and offer al fresco dining.

Fun and games
What could be cooler on a hot day or wintry weekend than ice-skating to disco beats? The biggest ice venue in Oz, Medibank Icehouse at Docklands is open daily, 6am to late. Ice-skating lessons are free.

Kids just love Wonderland Fun Park at Docklands. They’ll have a blast on the Bungee Jump Trampoline, Wacky Worm Roller Coaster, Tea Cups, Magic Train, Bumper Balls, and more. The Park also presents live shows all year round.

Docklands’ play centre, Monkey Mania, is heaven for small children and parents: drop the children here for up to three hours while you shop or dine in peace.
