Darwin, Northern Territory

Darwin is a far-flung, laid-back, multi-cultural city famous for its vibrant markets and wacky festivities such as the Beer Can Regatta (where punters have a go at racing boats made from beer cans). Boasting great asian cuisine and an enormous natural harbour complete with funky bars, restaurants and cafes, Darwin is full of exciting things to see and do.

Darwin is also the ideal base from which to explore the World Heritage-listed Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks and the exotic Tiwi Islands. And of course, no one can visit Darwin without paying homage to one of nature’s oldest and fiercest beasts – experience crocodiles close up in the local wildlife parks, and in the recently launched Cage of Death at Crocosaurus Cove.
