It’s funny how things happen.
Leon Wood got into hospitality in his home town of Taupo, New Zealand, so he’d have the money and time to train as a commercial pilot.
The idea was he’d work split shifts and fly in the middle of the day on his downtime.

That’s the first piece of advice Peter and Kathy Boland – who own Best Western Cattle City Motor Inn in Rockhampton – received when starting out in the hospitality industry many years ago.
Lyn Lewis is a country girl who, after a lengthy stint in the big smoke of Melbourne, is now back where she belongs, though not where she intended.
But that’s ok because Lyn and her husband John love their new life in Victoria’s western districts, where they own and run the Best Western Hamilton Lakeside Motel.
