Airlie Beach

How to relax on holiday at Airlie Beach

One of the must-do‘s on Australia’s east coast is a stay at Airlie Beach. It is worth a visit, even if you just have one or two days. Airlie Beach is the ‘Gateway to Heaven‘; a little piece of paradise. Enjoy your stay at Airlie Beach and be inspired by my highlights:

Arrive and relax

When you arrive in Airlie Beach it is easy to dip into the atmosphere. Just take a drink in one of the numerous bars and restaurants along the Shute Harbour Road. You definitely will like the spirit of this town – vibrant and relaxed at the same time.

Sailing the Whitsunday Island National Park

There are many ways to explore the Whitsunday Islands: by speedboat, jet ski or even helicopter, but sailing the Whitsunday Islands is definitly the best choice. Hoisting the sails and cruising through the islands with the power of the wind is an unforgettable experience.

Whitehaven Beach

The Whitehaven beach is situated on the east side of the Whitsunday Island. You will definitly like this amazing beach. It is meant to be one of the whitest beaches of the world and it is a really an amazing place. Staying at this wonderful beach and looking along the seven kilometres of white sand surrounded by the crystal clear blue ocean is breathtaking. And if you are lucky, you can even spot a sea turtle just right from the shore.

A day in Airlie Beach itself

After a day out at the sea – Airlie Beach itself offers also several opportunities to enjoy your day. Take a swim and a short nap under the huge palms of the beautiful city lagoon or go for a walk at the Esplanade and explore the coast line. For the more ambitious ones: put on your walking shoes and do a hike to one of the numerous lookouts around the city.

Now go enjoy your stay in Airlie Beach, have fun and get relaxed at this lovely spot!
