Best Western maintains growth in Australasia
Best Western Australasia has maintained consistent growth in the
Australasian marketplace, despite the continuing uncertain economic
situation.
The annual report released to members today outlined Best Western’s
financial position for the year 2009/2010.
Best Western Australasia Executive Director Rob Anderson said,
“Overall, measurable business delivered to Best Western properties
increased in both occupancy and average rate. Whilst growth has
slowed compared to previous years, the results are still positive in
view of the volatile market conditions and their impact on travel
trends”.
In other areas, there was also positive news. Guest satisfaction
scores increased along with increased repeat visitation and
membership satisfaction
scores have continued to grow, with “proud to be part of Best
Western” and “managing brand quality” being the two highest scoring
categories.
Best Western has strengthened the services it offers to members with
the introduction of a New Member Manager and a Property Revenue
Management service. Both programs have received high praise from
members.
Anderson continued, “We are working even harder to maintain our
increase in bookings and to ensure our members (property owners)
businesses continue to grow. We have increased all our marketing
activities and are offering our members industry-leading training
courses that help maximise their skills and property revenue”.
