Best Western shows it means business in corporate travel

Industry experts are predicting an increase in business travel in 2010 as companies start lifting travel restrictions initiated during the global financial crisis. Recognising this, Best Western Australasia has launched a new promotion for its corporate guests.

Perks at Work gives business travellers 1000 bonus points on their Best Western Rewards account for their first qualified stay and double points for subsequent stays (triple points if bookings are made through www.bestwestern.com).

Also, a special feature of Best Western Rewards allows companies to pool their rewards points so they can earn rewards even faster when several members of staff are travelling. For a limited time Perks at Work gives these accounts access to an even wider selection of rewards including electrical goods, adrenaline experiences (e.g. flying in a fighter jet, laps in a V8 race car), and a large range of hardware and house and garden items.*

"Business travel restrictions are being reduced but companies are closely monitoring travel expenses to ensure every trip is worth the investment," says Kimi Anderson, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Best Western Australasia.

"Companies now require their business travellers to work harder, be more productive with every trip, be more accessible on the road and travel cheaply," Anderson says. "So this is a perfect opportunity for Best Western to show we provide high-quality accommodation (up to four and a half stars) cost effectively and, the most commonly requested business services are supplied free of charge".

Perks at Work helps business travellers meet tighter company travel demands and makes it easy for business people to work while travelling. Best Western gives guests:

1. Broadband interest access (FREE in most locations),
2. Desk and work area in most hotel rooms,
3. Onsite business services (e.g. fax, computer and conference rooms),
4. Best Available Rate (the lowest possible accommodation rate),
5. Best Western Rewards (free room upgrades, early check-in / late check out** and generous discounts on car hire)
6. Best Western to Go; the new mobile phone application that makes it easy for guests to find all Best Western locations via GPS and book accommodation while on the road.

"Corporate travel has always been a major part of our business," Anderson says. "Perks at Work acknowledges that and boosts consumer confidence by demonstrating company travel spend is worth more at Best Western."
