Q. What is the Best Western Travel Card®?
A. The Travel Card® is prepaid and reloadable stored value card (plastic cards only) loaded with currency or units.
The Travel Cards® are available as standard plastic cards and "virtual" card, a pin number.
Travel Cards® can be use to paid Best Western Hotels Charges and any eligible services manages or operated by Best Western Hotel and applicable taxes. Travel Cards® may not be accepted at concessions located at a hotel that are not owned, operated or managed by that Best Western hotel.
Unit Travel Card® can be used toward room nights (including room taxes) booked at the Unit Card rate plan through Best Western Travel Card® reservations at:

Q. Can a guest pay the difference if they do not have enough units left on the card?
A. Yes. Guests can pay $25 AUD and the equivalent in Canadian Dollars for each unit requirement they do not have on the card.
Q. What happens if a Travel Card® is lost, stolen or destroyed?
A. Unfortunately, as Travel Card® are equivalent to cash, they can not be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.

A. Currency loaded Travel Card® can be purchased at almost all of the more than 4,200 Best Western hotels worldwide, as well various retailers, online at http://travelcard.bestwestern.com or by calling Travel Card® Customer Care at:

Currency loaded Travel Card® can also be purchased through authorised travel professionals. However, reloads are only possible at point of purchase.
Unit cards can only be purchased through authorised travel professionals. They can only be reloaded at that point of purchase. Unit Travel Card® cannot be sold or reloaded at Best Western hotels (excluding a selected group of hotels in Europe).
Q. Where can a Best Western Travel Card® be used?
A. Travel Card® can be used at any of more than 4,200 Best Western hotels worldwide. Travel Card® may be purchased in various currencies or units for your travelling convenience.
The Unit Travel Card® can be used at all hotels in Australia, the US, Canada, Central and South America, South Africa, Asia and participating hotels in Europe. Q. Who can use the Best Western Travel Card®?
A. Anyone can use the Best Western Travel Card® . It can be purchased for personal use, company travel, or employee incentives. They are an ideal gift for family and friends or to celebrate special occasions.
Q. How do you use the Travel Card®?
A. At time of check-in, guests simply present their Travel Card® and personal credit card or other form of payment guarantee and a valid form of identification. Total hotel charges are reduced by the amount available on the Travel Card®.
Q. Are Travel Card® transferable?
A. Yes. Once purchased, Travel Card® can be given as gifts to anyone.
Q. Can the Travel Card® be used as a room reservation guarantee?
A. No, Travel Card® is like cash and so, can not be use used as a room reservations guarantee. A credit card is needed to guarantee your room.
Q. Can Travel Card® be used with other forms of payment?
A. Yes. If your expense are total greater than the amount available on the Travel Card®, the difference can be paid by using other forms of payment such as cash or credit card.
Q. Are Advance Reservations required?
A. Advance reservations are not required to use the currency denominated Travel Card®. For Unit Travel Card®, advance reservations are required because the room has to be booked under the Unit Card rate plan to ensure availability.

Q. For how long is the Travel Card® valid?
A. Travel Cards® have no expiration date.
Q. How will Travel Card® be delivered?
A. Travel Card® can be shipped via mail/delivery service, with the option of overnight delivery (orders must be received by 4:00AM AEST).
Q. Are there any shipping and handling charges?
A. Yes, shipping and handling charges are dependent upon the selected shipping preference, e.g. overnight, first-class mail, etc.
Q. When purchasing a Travel Card® as a gift, can a customised message be included with the card?
A. Yes, simply tell the operator what you would like to pay when you purchase the card and this will be included when your Travel Card® is delivered.
Q. Will the gift recipients know how much was spent on their Travel Card®?
A. While the value of the card is not printed on the card itself, the value is stated in the delivery message. Card balances can be checked online at http://travelcard.bestwestern.com.
Q. Can a Unit Travel Card® be reloaded at a property?
A. No. Unit loaded Travel Card® can only be reloaded through an authorised travel professional as reloading has to occur at point of purchase.
Q. Can a Unit Travel Card® be loaded with currency or vice-versa?
A. No. A Unit Travel Card® (see Q What is a Best Western Travel Card®?)can only be loaded and reloaded with units. A currency loaded Travel Card® can only be loaded and reloaded with currency.
Q. Can Best Western Rewards points or miles be earned for stays purchased with Travel Card®?
A. Yes, points can be earned by Best Western Rewards members on qualified stays using the currency loaded Travel Card®. Points do not apply to Unit Travel Card® stays. Miles cannot be earned by Australia or New Zealand Rewards cardholders.
Q. Can Travel Card® be shipped to PO Boxes?
A. Yes.
Q. Are there fees for not using the Travel Card®?
A. No. you can keep the Travel Card® for as long as you like without incurring additional fees or costs.
