Tasmanian hotel business stays strong
Tasmanian accommodation operators have a lot to look forward to in 2012, if the steady growth of hotel business is any indication, with room occupancy and bookings up 45% compared to the same period last year.
Bookings for Best Western hotels in Tasmania for December 2011 were up almost 45% on the same period last year.
Kimi Anderson, General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Best Western Australasia said, “The surge in bookings is a positive sign for accommodation and tourism operators. We expect this growth to continue in 2012, with the investment the Tasmanian government are making into tourism”.
